Successful candidate will be responsible for the software design and development of Infotainment, vehicle connectivity, Body electrical, UI/UX interface and system control systems to support companies current and future vehicle programs. The Director of Vehicle Software Engineering is also a technology leader who defines software technology strategy, develop technology implementation roadmaps and delivers cutting-edge technologies and software for Successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to company smart EV and software technology strategy development and execution. Plan and execute projects based on the product and technology cycle plan. Manage software requirements/development, and deliver projects on targets and on-time with high quality. Responsible for managing project objectives, deliverables, timing, process improvement identification and implementation, risk mitigation, cost control, training, and hiring. Builds enhancements within an existing software architecture and envisions improvements to the architecture. Builds and maintains technical competence and current best practices within the Software organization via coaching, counseling, and as appropriate, educational workshops, classes, etc. Designs, develops, and validates embedded applications and sets and maintains high standards of software quality in accordance with current state of the art best practices. Reviews and improves on existing systems, making use of new technologies and methodologies. Optimizes overall team performance by coaching individual team members. Conceives team structure and constantly seeks opportunities to adjust team structure to maximize agility and efficiency. Leads and collaborates with internal cross functional teams, end users, and third-party contacts to design, develop, document, and maintain software deliverables for various projects. Establishes and maintains working relationships with technical, testing, and hardware team members across the technology organization.
