Sr Front End Software Engineer - Accessibility Focused

Job Description:
Our client is a fast growing SAAS start-up looking to double the size of their 20person development shop. They are looking for a top-notch Sr. Front End Software Engineer to build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for their core product. You will be working in collaboration with the product and design team on parts of this complex application. The key aspect of this specific role is experience with the core Front End technologies of React/Javascript and WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). You will be building Web based software this is not a role for a web developer, a devops person, or CMS developer!
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of software development experience focused on SaaS applications and making web content more accessible according to WCAG 2.1
  • Enterprise level development experience with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
  • Extensive experience with React/Redux in a dynamic, content-rich, and consumer-facing application
  • Experience with REST-based Web Services development
  • Solid understanding of website optimization techniques such as CDN, Cloud, and web-caching techniques
  • Experience creating application features and widgets
Bonus/Soft Skills:
  • Experience in technologies used in backend development including but not limited to languages like PHP (Yii framework), Node.js and familiarity with databases.
  • Experience refactoring existing code to improve codebase
  • Experience performing code reviews and mentoring team members
  • Experience working closely with product managers and user interface designers to refine our end user experience
