Utah County, UT

Job Description:
Our client is looking for a UI/UX Designer to support a new initiative migrating services/digital products to the cloud. Currently the client is a Java shop and as part of this large migration are now using Golang and Google Cloud Platform with its associated technologies to continue to stay on the cutting edge and be properly positioned to grow and scale. The client is one of the hidden secrets of the Silicon Slopes in Utah.

Responsibilities will include developing an intense curiosity about customers in the healthcare space and their workflows.  They will work with product managers to identify core problems and potential end-to-end solutions as well as create designs at various fidelities - from whiteboard to greybox to hi-res.  The UX Designer will test designs with an open mind to learn what’s working and what needs to improve and collaborate with dev and stakeholders to break down product solutions into milestones that deliver increasing value over time.

The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for working with the Technical Product Owner and developers to build a solid product in conjunction with a Utah-based team. The ideal must be proven in their digital UX experience and have a solid portfolio.

Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of expreience with interaction design
  • Excellent design skills
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch and Invision
  • Experience working with use researchers and product managers
  • Experience working in a usability testing lab
  • Experience with information architecture, interaction design, usability and design priniciples
  • Strong experience with digital/cloud based UI/UX principles and projects
  • Experience with storyboards, wireframes and prototypes
  • Solid portfolio
  • Strong ability to problem-solve, work independently coupled with the ability to collaborate with development and operations teams

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with HTML
  • Bilingual written and oral English/Spanish a plus
  • Ability to travel to Mexico occasionally a plus
