Job Description

Our client, one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners for data services, is looking for top talent to join their elite team of technologists to build and contribute to large-scale, innovative projects. Our client wants candidates who are eager to learn and grow with them as they work to move their market monitoring applications to modern big data platforms in the cloud where up to 60 billion market events are being processed each day.

If you are a fast learner and are interested in working in a fast-paced, open source environment, our client has an immediate need for a User Experience Designer to join their case management team.

This candidate would work with the team to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through an understanding of end-user needs in an agile enterprise development environment. In this role, the new UX designer would collaborate with users, business analysts and developers in crafting an optimal user experience for an internal application. Creating robust wireframes and hi-fidelity mockups is a must. So is an ability to promote and present designs to users and teams and properly document design decisions and provide dev-ready assets. But that's not all. We expect our new teammate to be passionate about UX and help us to mentor and educate as well as influence and shape the system design and advocate for consistent interfaces and experiences for users across our client.

Job Responsibilities:
  • 4+ years’ experience in user-centered design, UI/UX design, and usability testing
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Axure, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Basic coding knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery 
  • The right candidate will possess the ability to ideate and prototype quickly, maintaining a rapid feedback loop, and be open to and adept in changing creative approaches based on changing requirements 
  • Work closely with the service design team on design thinking, and with the development team to ensure design efforts align to organizational strategy and solution development timelines
  • Demonstrate creativity and excellent technical skills in all aspects of user experience design with proficiency in Google Material Design 
  • Create repeatable frameworks for all design efforts and maintain consistency in user experience 
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies to include stand ups, project backlog grooming, and team retrospectives
  • Results-oriented with high expectations for quality, accuracy, attention to detail and overall excellence
  • Self-starter, motivated, confident and has ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
