Job Description:

Our client is currently looking for a Technical Lead that is able to come in and understand the current systems and applications and eventually lead their engineering teams.

Our client hosts a data scientist/Client organization that is tasked with working on a "surveillance patterns that look for anomalies on 3 different platforms (stocks, bonds and options) that could be tied to manipulation or wrongdoing in the market.

The ideal candidate will have very strong, hands on engineering chops in Java, Python or Scala and ideally have some experience in Machine Learning or Deep Learning. Strong SQL and Spark skills will also be necessary for the role.

Must have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Math, Physics, EE, Computer Science or another technical field, master's degree preferred
• Very strong ability and track record in hands on programming with either Java, Python or Scala
• Very strong ability to work with data and excellent SQL querying skills
• Strong experience with Spark/SparkSQL
• Rich experience with design patterns
• Experience with Machine Learning or Deep learning

Preferred:

• AWS experience
• Big Data experience
