TITLE: Data Warehouse Developer
SALARY: DOE (Depends on Experience)
DIRECT HIRE w/CLIENT purpose of position Functions as a Data Warehouse Developer / Analyst responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse that serves the reporting and analytical needs for the Enterprise, as well as IT consumers. Participates in Systems Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) method for Data Integration projects including preparing detailed technical design documents from functional requirement documents, designing and developing ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) framework, establishing DB application schemas and developing database code, participating in unit and system testing of end-to-end integration, and performing release management and production support as needed. Works under general supervision. responsibilities Implements and maintains Client's Enterprise Data Warehouse. Responsible for populating the data warehouse using extracts from the Oracle, Microsoft SQLServer, NoSQL databases, flat files, json files, XML files and spread sheets. Creates the end-to-end solution for ETL transformational jobs that involve writing the Informatica workflows and mappings, Oracle PL SQL procedures and functions, SQLServer T-SQL procedures and Unix shell or Python scripting to load client's data into Operational Staging, Warehouse and Reporting layers of the Data Lake stack from disparate source systems. Assists in planning and organizing the activities/duties of the area and in the development of the overall project plans and timetables. Supports the user community and Information Systems System Development groups. Guides and provides technical support and training to the data warehouse development staff. Provides technical consulting to users of the various data warehouses and advises users on conflicts and inappropriate data usage. Prototypes solutions, prepares test scripts, and conducts tests for data replication, extraction, loading, cleansing, and data modeling for data warehouses. Maintains knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the data warehouse environment in different operating systems. Performs Unit and System testing of ETL DW jobs and ensure standard Quality Assurance practices are followed. Promotes the fully tested and qualified code into upper environments. Develops standards and strategies in collaboration with Director / Company's management for web site and corporate intranet planning and development. Participates in special projects and performs other related duties as required. qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field required.

Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in Data Integration projects working on ETL frameworks for Data Warehouse projects preferably using Informatica 9.x/10. X required. Hands on experience creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and worklets required. Experience with performance tuning techniques on mapping and session levels (DTM buffer/block size configurations, partitioning etc.) required. Working experience in using parameters and variables required. Experience with Oracle database development for data warehouse project including writing complex SQL queries, PL SQL functions, procedures and packages required. Knowledge of SQLServer SQL queries and T-SQL procedures preferred Familiarity with NoSQL databases and general Big data concepts and technologies preferred Hands on experience in performance tuning of SQLs required. Experience in Unix/Linux shell or Python scripting required. Experience with Advanced Scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys or Tivoli etc. required. Working knowledge of data modeling, and understating various aspects of logical, conceptual and physical modeling of data warehouse projects required. Ability to work independently, take initiative and contribute to new ideas required. Familiarity with cloud related technologies as related to data integration required. Working knowledge of an analytics platform/Visualization tool such as Oracle OBIEE, Microstrategy or Tableau required.
