TITLE: IT SystemsOperations Analyst
DURATION: Contract to Hire
LOCATION: Hoboken, NJ
RATE: DOE (Depends on Experience)

Job Summary
This role is an IT Finance and Operations role supporting strategic IT operations and project initiatives as well as assisting with the financial planning for the program. This role also supports the processes that produce the monthly actual reports, annual budgets, financial forecasting, Monthly project forecasts, Executive Summary updates, executive and management reporting, and on-going strategic analysis of IT driven initiatives. The role is responsible for interfacing with IT team members, Corporate Accounting, Corporate HR, and Corporate Finance counterparts to gather accounting and financial data used to perform financial analysis to maintain the financial integrity of the various IT operational and approved discretionary projects or programs.

This role also provides analysis and recommendations to IT Chief Administration Officer to help drive Senior executive leadership decisions in shaping the financial future state of IT, including an 18 month rolling forecast and a 5 Year Operating Plan.

 MUST BE WILLING TO LEARN NEW THINGS AND BE FLEXIBLE IN OPERATING ON MANY TASKS AT THE SAME TIME.

Systems Responsibilities

  • Ensure that technical requirements (hardware, security, ports, firewalls, etc) for the new AWS state are properly understood and documented


  •  Identify, understand and document the existing systems in the EWDC, including all upstream / downstream dependencies of each application
  • Interact with internal Users and Stakeholders to learn and document requirements that must be met for the migration to succeed, including blackout times, risks, and dependencies.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance and operation of various quantitative analytical tools such as databases, spreadsheets and or other systems.
  • Design SQL-, Excel-, and Access-based reporting systems to facilitate recurring reporting and analytics, end-to-end management of these reporting systems: from gathering requirements to testing and ongoing maintenance.
  • 'Know-how” to put applications to use to minimize labor intensity to produce results/reports so more time can be spent analyzing data. Expected to make updates and recommendations to IT CAO and team.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the processes to provide actionable analysis with team and IT CAO;
  • Provide monthly financial updates and recommendations to IT CAO, Senior IT and Finance leadership;
  • Participate in creating executive level financial/Operations presentations for senior IT leadership;
  • On-going maintenance and execution of financial policies and processes:
    1. Purchase Orders; Invoice Coding and processing; Month End account Reconciliation; Month End Accruals; Salary Feeds against Projects; Hardware and Software Expense Database; External Spends Database; Monthly Project P&L Reports; Month End IT Operations Reports; Forecasting of Projects & Operations; Headcount Reporting and processing
  • Tracking of actual spending, budgeting/forecasting and long range financial planning;
  • Monitoring and reporting the activity based costing for each project and identify gaps and issues for senior IT leadership as well as make recommendations regarding cost tracking
  • Work closely with the IT Project management team to ensure program financials (Budget, Forecast, variances and other program changes are communicated thoroughly and in a timely manner;
  • Work closely with other aspects of the IT Administration team, such as Project and Portfolio Management, Reporting and Governance, Audit, and Compliance.

Participate in providing financial guidance to the operational team for potential process improvement and to ensure alignment with IT Program strategy.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or 4 years of true equivalent work experience as an offset of education.
  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years of Financial processing and analysis experience (in the junior part of their career)
  • 2 years of financial planning, analysis, and decision support experience (in the mid-part of their career)
  • Experience with interfacing and reporting, organization development, and change management.
  • Proficient with Excel and Power point presentations. (Excel is MUCH more important of the two).
  • Must be a self-starter and can operate independently with minimal supervision as well as work closely with our team and very comfortable with working alongside senior leader in the group.
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent and proven collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated financial and operational integrity.
  • Understanding of the Project Delivery Framework and SDLC, nice-to-have but not required
  • Understanding of Waterfall and Agile Project Management Methodology, nice-to-have but not required
  • Mapping capabilities (systems, processes, etc.) to requirements to ensure that department needs/goals are met.
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills.
