IT Support Engineer
Irvine, CA
Contract role 6+ Months

The IT Support Engineer will build all new PCs for the Southern California Region, as well as support end user computing efforts, troubleshoot/resolve hardware and software issues and work with other IT teams to provide excellent customer service to the SoCal Region.

Primary responsibilities:
• Install, configure and ship new Windows 7/10 computers for employees of the Socal Region.
• Customize user profiles for new employees.
• Follow a computer build checklist to install and configure software on new computers.
• Provide desk-side, telephone and remote computer support via a remote application for the SoCal Region.
• Working with the Windows 7 & 10 Operating Systems on Dell computers.

The position will also be exposed to some/all of the following technologies:

Microsoft Office 2013/2016/0ffcie 365, Internet Explorer/Chrome/Firefox, Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business, Dell Kace, VPN Software (Citrix Gateway), Windows File Servers, Print driver installations / MFP network configuration, Ethernet and wireless technologies, Video conferencing technologies

• Excellent end user computing technical knowledge
• Superior Customer Service and Communication skills
• 3+ years of previous IT Help Desk or similar experience preferred.
• Associates or bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required. High School Diploma required.

Skills required:
• Experience in End User Computing, Desktop Engineering, and the Windows 7/10 Operating Systems.
• Hands-on technical experience is required.
• Requires proven experience integrating and implementing end user computing devices at an enterprise level.
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels in the organization, both inside and outside of technology.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
