Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced Network Engineer with experience supporting a world-wide network in a redundant environment with multiple "hot/hot datacenters dealing with extremely large volumes of data. Candidates should have experience dealing with 10Gb connectivity and failover redundancy to maintain uptime to 4-9's. This role will be responsible for all decisions relating to the design, deployment and support of the production network environment including routing, switching, firewalls and load-balancers. Will need experience maintaining, supporting, and configuring  network firewalls with tools such as Palo Alto.

They need someone who is collaborative.   Wants to jump in and learn new networking solutions / environments.  They will display a proven ability to stay current with technological advancements and how they have been successful previously anticipating problems, digging in to figure things out and maintain uptime.

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of recent experience as a network engineer
  • 5+ years of recent experience supporting a worldwide network with multiple data centers
  • Experience with IP Multicasting including PIM and IGMP
  • Deep familiarity with Cisco routing and switching platforms
  • Deep familiarity with IP routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
  • Working knowledge of Linux (Redhat/CentOS)
  • Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Cisco FWSM firewalls
  • Experience with F5 load balancers
  • Experience with log management / log analysis applications (Splik, ELK Stack)
Desired Skills:
  • Any financial industry experience a plus
