Job Summary:
This position comprehensively identifies, documents, and demonstrates the optimal user
experience through design activities/deliverables, which are aligned with the business
requirements and solution scope. This position works with a variety of software development
teams. This person has well-developed leadership qualities, and provides leadership and strategy
on discipline trends. This position crosses disciplines and business domains. The role of the user
experience designer is complementary to and synergistic with the role of the business and
functional analysts.
This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the
mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
• 4+ years relevant professional experience
• Advanced knowledge in applicable technical software, systems and functions
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Experienced in working with agile teams

• To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge and application in all the following competencies and expert in at least two: Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Usability Engineering, Visual Design, Prototype Engineering Plans and conducts assignments, generally involving larger and more important projects or more than one project.
• Assists with the review and evaluation of personnel performance, progress, and results
• Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures
• Operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision
• Encourages a culture of user-centered design and knowledge sharing
• Mentors discipline competencies
• Leads communication visually through drawings, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, flow charts, etc.
• Leads in user testing and validation to ensure that the user experience of the end product meets the original intent and is of the highest possible quality.
