Job Description:
Our client is a fast growing SAAS start-up looking to double the size of their 7 person development shop. They are looking for 2 Sr. Full Stack Software Engineers with a heavy emphasis on the back end. They are in the middle of converting their legacy code built in PHP7 to Node.js. You must be comfortable building web based SAAS products on both platforms as the full conversion from PHP7 to Node.js is a year out. We are not looking for someone that just wants to do PHP or Node.js, you'll be tasked to do both in the seat. We are certainly looking for 'drivers' not passengers in this role!

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of hands-on LAMP stack software development experience focusing on SaaS applications dealing with large datasets
  • Expertise in back-end programming languages PHP and Node.js specifically for enterprise grade products
  • Experience refactoring existing code to improve codebase
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Experience with containers - Docker, Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with DevOps and implementation of security and data protection strategies
  • Strong computer science fundamentals proven by both education and experience
Bonus/Soft Skills:
  • Amazing communication skills with an eagerness to debate technical direction
  • Be a great collaborator and an engineering leader by performing code reviews, mentoring other team members and presenting your work to others
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React/Redux, JQuery, HTML, CSS, etc.
