Job Description

Title: Treasury Analyst
Location: NYC
Direct PERM Hire w/Client

Client is seeking a Treasury Analyst who will support the Treasury team workflow.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain the Firm's cash flow forecast and budget.
  • Perform daily cash management for the Firm which includes concentration of funds, electronic payments and operation of short-term investment portfolios.
  • Assist in developing and executing treasury strategies (e.g., risk management, treasury operations).
  • Perform cash application of client payments as documented by client remittance advice, including clearing of invoices, retaining of unpaid cash that could not be applied, and small dollar write-offs, according to established departmental guidelines.
  • Reconcile daily cash balances and determine daily liquidity needs for the Firm.
  • Invest excess cash balances adhering to treasury strategies.
  • Monitor escrow accounts and process all requests on a timely basis, including applying funds to the proper matter in the trust module and processing check and wire requests.
  • Manage banking relationships and partner with business units to identify, analyze and implement process improvements, and banking services and products.
  • Assist with implementation, testing, and training of any new treasury functionality in ERP system.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 4+ years finance or accounting experience
  • 2+ years of experience in treasury (banking or a related field)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Elite Enterprise or Aderant Expert a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively on a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Planning, project management and organizational skills with acute attention to detail
  • A roll-up-the-sleeves mentality and willingness to "pitch in attitude
