Plumbing (Mechanical) Project Manager

Direct Hire

Columbus, Ohio

Salary: $85,000 - 120,000

The Project Manager oversees entirety of the project(s) to which he/she is assigned. They will work cooperatively with other departments to ensure all jobs are completed timely and profitably. Project Managers help with developing & maintaining relationships with customers to promote Company in a professional manner.

Responsibilities for this position also include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall profitability of their projects. Ensures proper timelines and schedule requirements are met for all projects.
  • Reviews job cost, job status, Client and change order reports to provide analysis on a monthly basis. Conducts regular/monthly job cost reviews to accurately reflect project profitability and status of all project issues.
  • Coordinates proper Client and equipment for each job.
  • Oversees the buyout process, job-closeouts and project change orders for all projects.
  • Ensures proper job setup, contract review, estimated costs and schedule of values are done in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generates project manager reports and attends project management meetings as appropriate. Job Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proven track record with prior employers in the commercial plumbing and mechanical piping industry; preferably with at least 5-10 years project management experience on commercial construction projects
  • Ability to read, understand and apply plumbing codes and Blueprints
  • Ability to communicate and report on the project effectively as required by customer, management, staff and with other Trades and General Contractors as needed.
  • Ability to Understand contract requirements and schedules. – Manage Project Risk as appropriate
  • Ability to work with Vendors/Sub-contractors for buy-out/negotiation on all aspects of job.
  • Ability to work with Foreman on jobs to ensure budgets, schedules and billings are meet.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
